Gift Cards with Square Wallet

square wallet

Do you use Square Wallet? If you do, you can use it to give the gift of gooey melts from the truck. Here is how it will work:

1. Download the square wallet app on your iPhone or Android device and sign up, if you haven’t already.

2. Show up to the truck with your smartphone and select the “Send Gift Card” option. the amount can be any denomination ($5, $10, $15 and up). Send the e-gift card via email to your colleague, partner, family member, etc.

We take care of the rest from there. Since money doesn’t expire, these don’t either.

TED: Gaming. A grilled cheese digression

After the truck is dropped off and I am about to drive home, often late at night, I plug in my phone to the AUX jack and I scroll through TEDtalks to listen to for the drive ahead. There are some pretty amazing ones by Dan Barber and other food luminaries. Every once in a while I take a break from thinking about food…its not often but it happens.

This video is about games from a game designer but its more about how gaming (making a game out of anything, like how many perfectly executed grilled cheeses can I cook in a tiny space, in a set time?) improves focus, will power and how your brain can function better, especially after a brain trauma like a concussion or during post-traumatic stress syndrome. Plus, Eastern Carolina University is mentioned in the research.

This video is 20 minutes long. Watch it during your lunch break!
